Gabapentin has helped a lot since my pain is nerve related. On a high dose finally and it’s made a huge difference. Also moist heating pad, cbd cream, lidocaine patch.

I have suffered back pain and nerve damage for years and found that some simple stretches and exercises will do wonders for the tight muscles and nerve pain. Simple passive stretches for the low back and hip area and hamstrings can be done while you binge watch your favorite program or read a book, I usually play games on my phone to pass the time. By passive stretch I mean you put your body in a position and let it relax normally and completely. When I first started doing passive stretches it took 45 minutes for one of the stretches. But I was totally incapacitated and my back was really jacked up. By the end of the week that same stretch took 15 minutes but the point is to put your body in a position that's going to cause it to relax naturally back to where it should be. The silver bullet stretch comes from the egoscue method. You're laying on your back with your feet up on the couch or a chair so that your your knees and your torso form right angles. As you breathe into your stomach with your hands by your side your hips and low back will slowly move to the floor, that will do a hell of a lot by itself. If you move on to the hamstrings with each leg. Start with one leg up on the chair or couch (whatever you're using for the low back and hip stretch) foot straight up, wait until the hamstring relaxes you'll feel the need dropping inch or so. Then move it down a foot or so onto a box or a tool box or something continue breathing into the stomach wait for that hamstring to relax again when it does then lay it on the floor and when it relaxes the third time you're ready to do the other leg. I need to stress this isn't the one or two or five minutes stretch if you've never done this it's going to take a long time. But if you do it consistently you'll be able to do it in most cases in 10 or 15 minutes for each stretch and it'll make a world of difference in your pain levels. What's going on in your body is some muscles are tight or stronger overpowering weaker muscles and these pull on nerves and Bone and cause things to be out of whack and painful. When you relax those tight muscles and strengthen the ones that are weaker your problems will go away and you rejoice in that magnificent body God designed to work perfectly. Regardless of your faith these stretches will work

You can always get over the counter meds like Tylenol as Motrin. Weed is also pretty effective as well but If you don’t want to smoke or the Motrin and Tylenol isn’t working for you then seeing a doctor to prescribe you something for pain
