Hello! I am dealing with Vaginismus (at least I think I am and so does my OBGYN) and am wondering if you have any tips on how to relax the muscles so that the pain isn't terrible??

I know this sounds odd, even my doc was unsure about it, but when I went off birth control it literally made everything soooo much better. I don’t know why. But I had been on it since I was a young teenager and now late twenties I know it made a difference. Also, I’m on FLO Vitmans. That may help too.

"Yoga, specifically for the pelvic floor, has been found helpful by some. Using vaginal dilators, starting with the smallest one and gradually progressing to larger sizes, can also be beneficial. This should be done slowly, with lots of lube, and without pushing yourself too hard. Physical therapy with dilators is another option. Some have also found relief through using muscle relaxers. It's important to breathe intentionally during these exercises to help the muscles relax and stretch."
