Dealing with UTIs After Sex: Has Anyone Else Experienced This?

After my second laparoscopy last year, every time I have sex I get a uti. I rarely use tampons and after using tampons during my last period, I have a UTI again. Has anyone else dealt with this? Any advice would be helpful. The doctors have done imaging scans and state that the surgery shouldn’t have caused this but I know it did

Oh I can help!!!!!! That was me!!!! I started taking D-Mannose. It’s all natural. It’s the actual substance from the cranberry that heals uti’s. It basically attracts the bacteria and pulls it out when you pee. I take it before and after sex. Now I’m down to just once a day to keep the UTI away. Antibiotics just keep the cycle going Now D-Mannose 500 mg, 300 Capsules - Vegan, Non-GMO https://a.co/d/eRcV01r

thank you so so much, I missed this message and just seeing it. So basically when I originally thought it was a UTI, everyone kept saying to drink cranberry juice and FYI for anyone reading this: if you have cystitis more than likely drinking cranberry juice will hurt like a MFer. So just taking D-Mannose seems to be a good suggestion and I’ll check out the link.

thank you so much for your post, it sounds like I too should talk to my doctor. I've had at least 4 UTI's this year already, and I'm afraid to have sex with my boyfriend because I don't want any more. Thanks again!

Thanks this is very helpful, I’ll check into it. My doctors always act clueless when I have a problem, they don’t search for other things they just keep prescribing antibiotics as if that’s healthy
