Using Topamax for Mental Health Concerns

Has anyone heard of using topamax for mental health concerns? I recently saw a second neurologist for a new opinion because I felt like I was being bounced around between FND and possibly basilar migraines. The new neurologist said it was hard to tell given that this medication was seeming to treat it so well, but I thought the medication only treated epilepsy and migraines. I now just learned that it can be a mood stabilizer which the first doctor never mentioned, maybe because they weren't aware either. The second doctor said given the fact the medication is working, and my symptoms have decreased as well as my NES has pretty much stopped, it might confirm their suspicion of FND (conversion disorder) just as much as my suspicion of basilar migraines. The new doctor kept saying too that I may be more stressed that I am aware. I kept telling her that I saw a psychiatrist and she truly thought that the NES was a neurologist problem even after many medications with her. I've also been in counseling way before any of this started, and did acknowledge new stressors, but trying to handle it healthy by seeing counseling and a psychiatrist.

I'm not sure exactly what else it's for but I know a lot of epilepsy meds are also mood stabilizers
