I work at Starbucks, which is pretty difficult a lot of the time, but I enjoy my job. Last night a coworker sent a post he found on Facebook from someone who also has POTS - a drink with half water, quarter lemonade, quarter peach juice, and 3 packets of salt all shaken together. Even when I'm doing okay - my heart rate is barely stable. My HR spiked to 160 on floor today and I made myself one of those and once it set in, my heart rate has consistently been in the 70s. It's been an hour and it's still stable. I know salt helps, but it's really interesting to see the effect in real time. Just wanted to share this win, especially if anybody frequents or works at the business and needs a little salt boost. It tastes good, too!
