Yesterday I agreed to run errand with my mom today. Since I started my morning I’ve been trying to be productive but I’m the back of my mind I’m being plagued with upsetting thoughts. Im trying not to focus on them but it’s been hours and they still haven’t left. I don’t want to deal with it while I’m running errands today. Please give me some advice to get thru this.

When I'm dealing with stuff like this I personally like to think of whats causing it, get to the root of it, and fix it as much as I can. Even just getting to root of it helps me tons sometime. Journaling about it to until or ready to think abt it helps too.
i felt this so much yesterday. i know this sounds very silly, but me dancing throughout the day helps. just with my mom i kind of hide behind her and dance a little. i know that can be a little scary dancing in public so if that something that will make the day worse then don’t do it, but it helps me keep my mind off of things and brings my mood up.

i deal with moments like this too. something that sometimes helps me is to distract myself whether it be playing music or watching something so that i can just try and focus on that instead of the negative thoughts. some grounding techniques sometimes work for me too. like finding 5 things i can see, 4 i can touch, 3 i can hear, 2 i can smell, and 1 i can taste.
