Dealing with Unsupportive Family During Weight Loss Journey

So I'm currently in a Bariatric program and so far things are going well but I've been a bit depressed because, besides my sister, everyone in my family is against it and is not supportive of me losing weight and getting surgery. Is there any way I can try to cheer myself up or find ways to cope with it?

You are doing what you think is best for yourself and your health and that’s all that matters. It’s sad your family doesn’t see that, but there’s a whole community of people here who support you :)

You can try to do some activities that you think you would enjoy for yourself! Maybe try coloring books or pick up a new hobby like embroidering! And consider setting some boundaries with your family. (You could explain that you can decide what’s best for your own health, etc.) This might lift some weight off your shoulders.
