Hyperfixating on things. Mainly new hobbies. I’ll pick up a new hobby every two or three months and research a ton of stuff about it. My most recent one is sublimination and I’m currently making mugs

being chronically early 😔 I thought I was in the clear because my mom has ADHD and it makes her late to things all the time, but I'm usually early so take that, genetics! except that's,,,,,, just the same symptom on the opposite extreme,,,,,,,

One time I got in big trouble because I couldn’t remember what I had worn the day before and we were on a road trip and my parents didn’t want me to wear the same clothes twice but for the life of me I just couldn’t remember what I had worn the day before but my parents thought I was lying so I had to write a 1000 word apology essay. :)

Being able to do homework in class in record time but not at all at home. Being able to test extremely well but not being able to listen in class unless I was drawing or writing something completely unrelated. I stoped talking naps as a 1 year old. I couldn’t sit still and watch a movie as a kid so I had never seen a Disney movie until I was 14. I never realized that I liked being alone not because I’m an introvert (definitely an extrovert) but because I would get exhausted from masking infront of people or I would mask poorly and feel insane for the way I acted or thought. I talked to bees as a kid because other kids would run away when they saw a bee so I knew we were alone and we could hang out in trees together. I can also listen to the same song or watch the same movie multiple times a day for months because repeating memorized passages is cathartic. Bringing my dogs with me everywhere so that people wouldn’t think I’m talking to myself. I have a hard time listening to music in English because it doesn’t require any effort to understand. Doing better when I have more on my plate and many more. I really have no idea why I wasn’t diagnosed before 20. I really showed every symptom.

Omfg. I relate to almost all of these. I find my brain jumping to, "on a related note," during conversation but it'll be something like being asked to clear out a fireplace-fire in the sky-from smoke on the water-by deep purple-i have a purple jumper-it had a hole in so my 'related' reply is, "I think I'll do some sewing later."
