Coping with Onset Schizophrenia: How to Prepare for Medication

I am Egg-- I turn 19 next month. I've spoken to several mental health professionals who say I have every symptom (and more) of onset schizophrenia. I have 2 weeks to wait for my appointment at LEAST. I just want to know how to cope and prepare myself for medication in a world where I'm seemingly falling to pieces more and more each day.

Im not the best role model for this, and im not saying dont take the medicine but I only took my medication for a year after diagnosis and I've been off them since. For me it all got easier to control and noe i take advantage of it. Im also the type of person thay jokes about my issues, if i dont it tears me apart
