Unexplained Skin Discoloration with Pain - Anyone Experienced This?

Has anyone else had their skin change colors in places where they have pain without an injury or trauma to cause it? I have purple skin wherever I have pain. it can't be bruising if it is my entire back and arms. Apparently it isn't normal.
