I think I may have more conditions and doctors are not listening, any advise?

      push for tests. do the research so you know what you exactly need done. will this test possibly kill you? if it's a no then don't give up. the doctor will be getting paid so what's the point in the argument. if it's stressful or uncomfy, you asked for it. sadly I've had to make this exact point a lot.

      Going through the same thing. It feels like no one actually cares.

      Okay. So I saw this nursing post about how if doctor’s refuse to do tests you believe can help diagnose you and lead to an answer tell them “make sure to put in my chart that you refused to do *blank* test.”

        @FutureNurse that’s such a smart idea!

      i agree with the person above. get a new doctor. ive had multiple psychiatrists and therapists that did not listen to me whether it was about conditions or just me trying to let things out. and definitely express your concerns with your new doctor to ensure they listen to u

        @dannyimprego my doctor wouldn’t listen to my concern about a lump in my arm for months. FINALLY got her to do scans. Turned out to be a tumor. Thankfully benign. But still doctors can be wrong all the time and it really is unfortunately up to us now to make sure we get the right care! Very sad some doctors make it so difficult especially because we’re usually using all our energy to just deal with our illnesses.

      Whenever I have this issue I end up switching to a new doctor or pressing until they do tests or assessments. If you switch to a new doctor I recommend starting conversation off with why you left the last one because I feel that doctors usually respond better when they know what you want them to do and that you’re not scared to search elsewhere if they fail at their job. You’ll avoid wasting time too if you can see from the start they’re going to do what it takes to get you diagnosed.
