Schizophrenia has actually recently been declared a psychosis spectrum disorder, and it affects everyone differently, depending on what type(s) you have. There is a GREAT channel on YouTube called Living Well With Schizophrenia. Very informative videos. Check it out sometime!

For me, I have a lot of paranoia, delusions that everyone is against me, and I have severe depression that also comes into play. I hear things and see things that I can rationalize and tell that they aren't there. And ptsd doesn't help either because I'm finding that they often trigger each other. I have troubles with speech, Concentration and memory. If I get interrupted I can't really remember what I was saying and it's frustrating sometimes.

Schizophrenia for me is like being in to different realitys at the same time and being aware of both but not knowing which is real

For me, schizophrenia "looks like" hallucinations, false beliefs, and delusions. I also tend to subject-hop. I can't seem to keep my thoughts on one track. I see and hear things that aren't real and have trouble telling the difference between the hallucinations and reality. I have carried on whole conversations and not known whether it was real or not.

I agree, also for me there are a lot of memory problems because of it. Most people who have Schizophrenia have mostly or only auditory hallucinations, but I’ve also have had visual hallucinations. A lot of the time, doctors try to diagnose Schizophrenia as Schizo Effective because Schizophrenia has a stigma, usually in those cases there are less of really negative hallucinations.
