can someone educate me me on bpd, I've recently been told I have it and am staring dbt but the concept is so hard for me to grasp for some reason. I'd also like to know more abt bipolar since a family member has it??
BPD is a disorder of emotional regulation and even tho it’s technically a personality disorder, I think it affects a lot of neurodivergent people as we usually have rejection sensitivity. It goes with bipolar often because it’s typified by explosive, unpredictable emotions, as well as unique communication style/needs, which is very autistic/adhd. It’s easy to find cool information on Instagram about BPD by BPD posters so i recommend reading more abt it :)
the person who was diagnosing me told me they didn't think I had adhd because they thought I had bpd, but I'm pretty sure I have both. So I can see where you're coming from. Personality disorders also qualify as nd on there own as well.
