For me it's definitely the "ugly" stims. people act like stimming is just waving your hands around like you're trying to fly, or jumping up and down. my stims will get to the point where I hit my arm because I need to release energy. I have to ask my roommate to let me borrow their pillows so I can scream into them to let energy go.

Idk if this is a symptom for everyone as I was just diagnosed but I tend to get sensory overload very quickly. Like my mom will be talking to me and asking me questions and one moment I’m fine with it but the next I’m telling her to shut up and I can’t control it.

Redfox you could also look into the overlaps between ADHD and OCD, intrusive thoughts like that are a big OCD thing for a lot of people

(!!Trigger Warning!! - mention of sexual violence) (I’m not sure if this is from ADHD or one of my other conditions, seeing as I don’t know much about them) I frequently get extremely disturbing intrusive thoughts and images about the people around me (to give context, I get a range from about 1-15 intrusive thoughts per 5 minutes — and that’s a very rough estimate, seeing as it can be much more). My thoughts range from mutilating myself, to suicide, to violence against other people, to imagining being raped, to memories of being raped before, to indescribable but intense physical sensations. I constantly get them, and I’ve always felt like I was a monster for having them, but I found out only a few years ago that other people get them too.

RSD is a huge struggle for me as well and I totally agree! It's so common yet most people don't even know they have it.

RSD. And all the weird feelings it gives you and makes you think about yourself. Doctors havent given it much attention and there are a lot of people with ADHD who dont realize That Thing they deal with is that.
