Ulcerative Colitis or Chrons Disease?

I have never been diagnosed with ulcerative colitis. Doctors say ifs either that or Chrons Disease - still unsure. What differences should I look for? The right colon gets inflamed usually showing mild-moderate colitis when a CT Scan is preformed and calprotectin is usually elevated

Sometimes patients are diagnosed with Crohns colitis (Crohns that affects the colon), or labeled as indeterminate. Symptoms can overlap between both. There are some traditional symptoms that seem to favor one or the other but don’t confirm that you have either Crohns or colitis. Your symptoms/signs could be seen in either condition. Have you ever had a biopsy via colonoscopy?

Hi, Crohn's and ulcerative colitis are two different diseases, both pathologically and in terms of drug treatment. While Crohn's can appear throughout the intestine in a scattered form, colitis will appear continuously and only in the colon. The best way to diagnose is to perform a colonoscopy and gastroscopy with biopsies and thus try to arrive at a diagnosis. Have you done these tests?
