Tresiba is good it's a slow acting insulin covers you for the 24 hours. Then go to a fast acting before a meal if higher carbs. Avoid carbs and get a good low carb snack. Beef jerky/ shrimp rings/ ham n cheese roll ups are my go to.
I have learned that to limit my carbs and sugars by the daily meals example if I have carbs for breakfast I don’t for lunch if lunch than not dinner. And I take my metformin religiously 500mg twice a day and I went from them wanting to start insulin to almost not needing any meds

I have been Type 2 Diabetic for 26 years. My A1c is 8.2. Nothing I do seems to bring it down. Any suggestions?
