My name is Heidi Black! I’m 26 years old and I live in Arizona, U.S.A. with my amazing husband and precious son (he just turned 18 months old June 20th)!
I wanted to share some pretty good news with all of you today, so here it is:
From December of 2021 to now - late June 2022, I’ve gradually changed my life one day at a time.
- I’ve lost 50 lbs (started at 235 now at 185)
- My quality and quantity of sleep has been better than EVER
- I have the energy to keep up with my son and the daily tasks of life - including stairs in our home lol
- I’m not dragging all day every day with fatigue and lethargy
- Brain fog is a thing of the past
- I have been able to decrease the inflammation in my body (HUGE plus for my T1D management)
- RH (rheumatoid arthritis) joint pain in my knees, back, hands, feet and anywhere else have almost completely gone
- My memory is better
And most of all, I am HAPPIER and more confident in myself to do hard things and I have gained an overall healthier outlook on life. I now have the mental strength to be able to handle life’s curveballs. Does that mean the challenges I face have gone away? No, it’s just gotten easier for me to face them and believe that I am strong enough to get through it.
And probably the most important thing I’ve come to learn (and still always learning) is how to see food for what it really is: Food is either slow-acting poison or slow-acting medicine to our bodies. Food can hurt us or heal us, and it’s all up to us to decide what we want for our bodies!
We are ALL stewards over our bodies - how we choose to feel, what we choose to think, where we will go, what we will say, etc. and that’s a pretty daunting task! What a crazy thing to be on our consciousnesses every day! We determine the destiny of our lives with every decision we make, small or big… and today, I want to invite you to make a decision to make today your new “day one,” have the courage to say ‘no’ to what won’t help you and say ‘yes’ to the next right thing - even if that decision requires sacrifice, it will be SO worth it! You owe it to yourself, your family and friends, and to the world to be the best version of who you are!
You are worthy of your own love, you have so many gifts, abilities, talents and strengths that make you YOU and no one can ‘do you’ better than YOU! That’s such an empowering thing to think about!
Make today AWESOME and go for the hard and uncomfortable zones, forget the easy and comfort zone you’ve been in - the world is waiting for you, and most importantly, there’s someone I’d love to help you get to know better - the happier, stronger, more confident and empowered version of YOU! 🤍
