Trouble Sleeping and Dealing with Anxiety

Hello. Having some trouble sleeping and dealing with anxiety. Use melatonin but would love to hear about something else too. Any thoughts or suggestions? Thx. 🙂

I also struggle with this and some things that have helped me is getting into bed or a night time routine a few hours before I want to actually fall asleep. I am addicted to my screens but when I decide to read a book or draw or something i end up falling asleep better. I take melatonin occasionally as well and it can help

Magnesium Glycenate works well for me. I take 1500 mg before bed. Try 500 mg first and increase as needed.

I take magnesium before bed. It does help. There’s something called natural calm. It’s a form of magnesium you drink before bed. It really helps my daughter with sleep & anxiety. Unfortunately, I’ve been an insomniac for years so I have to pull out the big guns and take prescription Lunesta. I would try all natural things first before you have to resort to any prescription meds.

A turkey sandwich. Turn lights down low 1 hour before bed. Read a book for a while.

Exercise removes the excess energy of anxiety for me. Even masterbation is enough. Magnesium is very calming also.

What type of stuff do you enjoy that relaxes you? They say to have at least 30 minutes to an hour to unwind before bedtime for good nights sleep. If you’re similar to me in having a sensitive stomach. Something light. No dairy or sugar even though ice cream hits the spot on hot days.

Having a snack is nice. Trail mix or anything with nuts. They contain magnesium and some tea, if you’re not allergic to nuts.

thank you. 🙂 I do like nuts. Although not the easiest in my system. Magnesium is a new idea to me. Thx!
