Looking for advice on treating Trichotillomania

Hi, has anyone had any successful ways of treating Trichotillomania? I cannot stop pulling out my hair and it’s starting to show a bald spot on the back of my head. Thank you for any advice.

I tried using head wraps and scarves and they worked so well for me because I couldn't reach my hair. I'm still pulling, but it has helped.

Oh man. I haven’t figured out a cute. But exercise and eating better has helped sooooo much. Also fidget toys. But I have to switch them out every month or I get bored and go back to my head. I’m in therapy every month and it keeps me on track if I ever get off track

I've had it for years, have had so many bald spots. Probiotics are the only thing I've found that helps lessen the urges. If I take a lot of probiotics it makes them pretty much disappear.

Hi 👋 I’ve struggled with this disorder since I was 11. I got the bald spots and ended up shaving my head. I’ve figured out ways to manage and curb its effects. Those being instead of plucking head hair pluck armpit hair or leg hair at night this helps me get out the stress and the urge, and has stopped me from pulling out my head hair. For awhile I wore head bands/hats which also make it more difficult to give in.
