Struggling with Trichotillomania: Seeking Advice

Hi I’ve had trichotillomania (hair pulling disorder) since I was 10 and it got really bad about 4 years ago. I had to shave my head twice and I was clean for 2 years but relapsed again. Anyone have any tips how to stop?

If I’m alone and I notice myself pulling, I put my hair in a high bun and put on a satin cap. They are like shower caps but are meant to be worn comfortably overnight. Even if I run my hands over my head, there’s no hair to pull. For being in public, I’ve never tried it personally but wigs might be a good idea

not sure if this will be in any way helpful to you but i started wearing the glue on nails from the dollar store! i pick at my eyebrows all the time so it’s super cheap and it stops me from pulling unconsciously :) for hair i started wearing wigs more for fashion but it helps with not having my natural hair exposed
