do any of you guys get this feeling when you remember that it all happened to you? Like its hard to comprehend that it happened to you. Like somedays I'll remember that i can go through each event that happened that night in my head, but it was a real thing that really happened to me, and not a dream or a story i read. like, it was something I WENT THROUGH. Or noticing small mannerisms that you have that reflect what happened to you?? Like, just remembering that it actually truely happened and you're forever changed from it, i guess.

I encounter this frequently. Sometimes, it disturbs me greatly. I lose a lot of sleep this way, and wake up in panic attacks when I do sleep.

Yes sometimes I get the feeling that what happened to me is hard to comprehend and then there are times a scent or something someone says just takes me back to when it happened and it all comes flooding back and sometimes I have panic attacks because of it

yea I remember sometimes, just know it is normal to remember what happens and that what you have been through doesn't make you what or who you are. with support and therapy you can do this <3

@Jrock Thats amazing! Wishing you well with your journey with EMDR and meds. I currently don't know whst im going to do treatment wise (since my ptsd isnt as bad as it was years ago) I've just been discussing my memories with my therapist though we've yet to have a trauma based session. ❤️❤️

💕 I remember days feeling like this. With meds, support, and time they're fewer and further between. Just know that you are feeling normal feelings.

Yes, some people have shared similar experiences where they struggle to comprehend that the traumatic events happened to them. They may feel detached from the memories, as if it was a dream or a story they read, and sometimes notice small mannerisms reflecting their past trauma.
