My Experience with a Total Hysterectomy as a Trans Person

I’m trans and recently had a total hysterectomy to cope with pain (as I can’t take many hormonal agents). It’s a world of difference.

I agree with you there, it does feel better than excision. I feel like I've been pain free longer, though the interwebs like to remind me that hysterectomy is not a technical cure. It sure feels like one in the meantime.♡

I kept one just in case I ever have to stop T. In general it’s only been 7 weeks, but it’s way better in terms of pain I had after excision.

I had a partial hysterectomy, (kept my ovaries), and I feel like it made a world of difference. Though I still get the occasional ovarian cyst. Unfortunately there's no sure way to get rid of Endo as it can just grow back.
