Trans Dating in West Virginia: A Struggle for Respect
I'm from West Virginia and dating here is hell as a trans person. I tend to like cis men but they keep calling me pretty or beautiful, which makes me self conscious. A lot of people don't respect my wishes about what words suck for me. Am I the only one having a hard time explaining how to respect your gender identity/preferences to anyone?

You aren't alone. Even in a 'more liberal' area I've had trouble. I've resorted to online/long distance dating but I know that isn't for everyone :/ I hope you can find your perfect match who validates your identity!
