I have been having small tics ever since I was quite young, over the past 2 1/2 years they have progressively gotten worse (motor and vocal). Every neurologist I have been to, has completely dismissed me even though I present all signs of a Tourette's like disorder. How do I make people understand that this isn't something I'm making up and that I truly need help?

That does sound very frustrating. My thought is maybe you should seek a private psychiatrist since Tourettes is something they deal with too. You shouldn't suffer, today there's CBT and medications that can help a lot.
