Dealing with TMJD and Ear Congestion

Hey! I'm new to alike health. I'm a 23 year old female with so much anxiety it's ridiculous. I was diagnosed with TMJD disorder in early 2019. It has its ebbs and flows, but recently it's been in a flare up for almost 6 months. Does anyone else have ear issues when it comes to TMJD? I get ear congestion and pain frequently, despite my ears being healthy.

It took me years to realize it was actually the muscles in my jaw and not my ear causing the pain that I feel, so I totally relate! The things that have ended up helping me are allergy medicine for congestion and inflammation, and then medical massage of my jaw, physical therapy of my jaw, exercises/stretches to do at home, and muscle balm (sometimes cbd muscle balm)

I take allergy and congestion medication already due to being allergic to ~almost~ everything lol I also take NSAIDs to help with pain, as well as my anxiety medications. What type of cbd muscle balm do you use?

I got a new one from Lazarus Naturals but I also liked the balm from MuscleMX a lot.

I've had TMJD for years and the pain has radiated to my ears and even behind my eyes and neck, feeling like a headache. I try to notice when my jaw is tight and focus on relaxing it and I don't use gum or hard candy, that just triggers pain.
