Anyone have any tips to stop overthinking, my brain never stops and it gets so unbearably stressful. Might be adhd too, waiting on a diagnosis but I’m already diagnosed with autism and a lot of other things

@BlackBonnet I’m glad doing puzzles helps you. Distractions are better than nothing, although like you say it’s not a permanent fix but at least it helps. I need to find a distraction but there’s nothing I really enjoy doing as my depression takes over. I’m sorry you’re struggling with this too

The only thing that works for me is doing difficult puzzles, like killer sudoku and kakuro. It forces my brain to think of something else. But it's only a temporary thing, I really struggle with this as well.

The only thing I've found that helps me with overthinking is to just distract myself from the thoughts, usually mindlessly scrolling through YouTube shorts or another social media. It helps me focus on the short videos to take my attention away from my thoughts. Or talking to a friend about what they are up to. Anything to help me take my focus off the thoughts so I'm able to move on. Most of the time, this helps me. Not sure if it's the best way to handle them, but it's what works for me for the time being.

@volcanogoblin thank you for the suggestion. Finding distractions is definitely better than nothing. I’m glad it helps you a little
