Tips for Taking a Medical Leave and Acquiring Workplace Accommodations
Tips for taking a medical leave/ acquiring workplace accommodations? I work retail full time and need to get off of my feet to get my pain under control. I also cannot maintain a full time schedule and attend all of my necessary appointments. My doctors barely understand EDS and have no idea what accommodations I’ll need, and I’m feeling totally lost and frustrated with this process. Any advice would be much appreciated.

My doctor didn't know either, so I told her specifically what I needed and she drafted up a work restriction note immediately. They don't always know what you need but if you let them know they should help you. I don't know anything on medical leave though

I honestly don't know what I'd do in that situation. I am lucky to have one of the most understanding bosses on the planet
