do you have any tips for motivation? (doing things instead of just saying you will)

I find that doing one small thing and having that success can snowball into bigger things getting done. I have a lot of chronic conditions that interfere with my ability to get things done consistently, so giving myself a break and lowering my expectations for what I can get done have helped immensely. Recognize that what you are doing is enough, and it may help get started on something else. I’m also a huge believer in getting yourself a little treat when you do stuff. It gives me something to be excited for, and makes harder trips out less daunting.

I like using a highlighter in my planner instead of crossing it out, it feels like I'm pointing out all the things I *did* do. If it's a big task and I feel like I can't handle it, I'll set a timer and say I only have to do it for that long. If no one else is around I'll put on a YouTube commentary video about something that sounds vaguely interesting so I can just listen as I go. I also will make myself get a snack and some water because I'll forget that, and then wonder why I'm grumpy and have a headache.
