Naps, baths/showers, heating pad, ice (if you can stand it. I can't), soup, comfort foods & drinks for basics. I also use fuzzy blankets and stuffed animals (yes, a mother of a grown child still uses stuffed animals and it's ok). As for the cold, vitamin C, juice, steam, a few essential oils in a diffuser (list after this), sleep, bland foods if your stomach is upset, pain meds as recommended by your care team, good calm activities (I do cross stitch, embroidery and binge on tv shows). Essential oils (and herbs) list and what they do: Eucalyptus: helps clear sinuses Citrus scents: help you cool off Mint: helps you cool off, settles the stomach (if ingested, suggested through hot chocolate/coffee/tea), can also help clear sinuses (aka menthol) Cinnamon: helps warm you, has been known to help clear up blood vessels (haven't really researched this effect); best used sparingly Apples: usually paired with cinnamon, energizes you (one apple has more caffeine than a cup of coffee) More can be found here: https://www.urmc.rochester.edu/encyclopedia/content.aspx?contenttypeid=1&contentid=1169

@SnowRose I use stuffed animals too. In fact, my grown daughter has bought them for me. They drive my husband crazy.😆

Don’t be afraid to get additional help (urgent care or ER). Normal people sick makes me really sick and I’ve had to go to the ER a few times but I drag my feet because it’s not “serious” illness

EmergenC helps me. Hot tea, lots of water, plenty of rest, and talk to your primary doctor

NSAIDs, lots of hydration, water, herbal tea with honey, LOTS of rest, put on your favorite movie or a funny show to help ease/distract your mind. Heating pads, ice packs if need be it, popsicles, warm baths with essential oils...etc... I use a netipot for nasal congestion/ pressure in my sinuses.
