Tips for how to make friends as an adult? Especially struggling since I have a handful of conditions and if they don't seem like my level of dank I'm instantly more shy. I haven't started college yet but plan to, so I suppose I shouldn't be worried since most adults make friends there. But I'd like to improve and try if possible, just find it odd to think about how to meet new people casually.

Go to the same place at a regular interval! Somewhere social like a park, cafe, or class. Once you start to see familiar faces it should be easier to approach them or start conversations, simply through exposure. Going to college and being willing to ask people for social medias/numbers will go a long way itself : )

I try to find communities online that are niche enough that it's not overwhelming because you know you're into the same stuff as them. I try to use apps and websites that have a local setting so I can actually meet with them eventually

Perhaps there is a support group for one of your conditions and you could meet people that way
Everyday you leave the house smile and say “Hi” to people. And just feel the love you have for socializing and putting your energy out there. Fuels yourself, and also does good for building your character and help you open up to more conversations and connects. You want to have friends. Just have to accept we are all different. And you condition doesn’t stop you from living. Let it give you an advantage to be more bold hunny.
