grounding techniques can be pretty helpful, but they look different for everybody. i tend to be prone to dissociation while driving, which can be prtty dangerous but i try and acknowledge my senses to keep me present, whether it's focusing on the smell, taking in my surroundings, or just absorbing the tangible things. dissociation is a hard one but if it's triggered by something i try to first acknowledge what trigerred it and i try to remind myself that it's okay to take time to process whatever is going on rather than withdrawing, even if that means putting the feeling in my pocket and saving it for later
