Hi i haven’t posted like this yet but i’m seiji Does anyone have any tips on trying to get back into reality? like doing things you need to do, or getting your mind off of day dreaming random scenarios?

I think of it like a bookshelf you can pick the book off the shelf read a few pages but put it back…basically I’m saying the moments of not being in reality let yourself read the page but put it back on the shelf. Sometimes I set a timer and allow myself to be completely disconnected for a short period of time and it allows you to kind of purge those thoughts rather than fight the intrusive thoughts constantly because you try to push them away.
Sometimes a can’t concentrate on reading or watching something, the grounding exercises I use involve all five senses: touch a soft blanket, eat something with a lot of flavor, smell a candle or essential oils, look at some art, listen to music or an audio book. 💕 feel free to message me!
