Tips for Exercising with Heart Issues

Dose anybody have any tips for exercise ? My doctor refuses to put me on a beta blocker but even just stretching makes my heart start pounding not a a dangerous pace but enough to make me sweaty, itchy and dizzy withought even doing anything. I’ve been packing on weight making it even harder and more strenuous on my heart I used to work out and do yoga for like 2 hours a day and now I can barely stretch my legs in bed withought an episode.

It's hard but maybe start with exercises you can do laying down and start really really small. But please be careful!

Just looking at bigger picture— is there a contraindication for the beta blockers for him to not want prescribe. I would possibly look for another physician/np ! I had to take baby steps with exercise, I started walking for 5 minutes and increased time by a minute, I’m no where near what I use to be but it’s a gradual start

It’s comforting to know that I’ll be able to exercise again eventually. It just came on so severely and out of no where that I though I’m never gonna be able to exercise again thanks for the encouragement 🤗
