Tips for Curving Agoraphobia

Hi! My most crippling issue at the moment is agoraphobia. What are some tips to start slowly curving it? If you don’t have this condition, hi! I’m still willing to talk about the other subjects as they all greatly impact my life too.

Starting off I'd make a goal of going somewhere easy once a week then maybe twice a week and so on. Gradually going places that are easy will tell your brain hey I can go out and not have a panic attack. ❤️

So a big tip is to start small and not overexpose yourself! There's something called flooding where we can experience too much in trying to face our fears that we shut down again. So baby steps. Your recovery process may be slow and thats ok. Avoid big box stores or crowds. Start with walks around your home. Then block. Then go to the gas station. Maybe the pharmacy. You'll be anxious when you first go out for sure but make sure you stay until the feelings of unease leave and you start to feel safe and comfortable

this!!! This worked wonders for me! I couldn’t even leave the house without feeling like passing out but with small trips here and there it helped so much! I can now go out places whenever! And with the help of meds too

don't ever say no if you're invited somewhere, worst case you die but we're all hoping for that anyway right?
