Tips for Coping with Low Energy Throughout the Day

Is there anything you've found helps with getting up in the morning and coping with low energy through the day? Anything that boosts your energy maybe? life hacks?? Coffee doesn't do it for me because of ADD.

Literally, I drink liquid IV and hydrate with hella electrolytes. Without hydration, I'm out like a light switch.

I was told to take extra of my ADD meds to see if that helps with my fatigue and keep forgetting... 😅

A tall glass of ice water with lemon jump starts a lot of your bodys functions! I can't vouch for it cause I'm a coffee drinker, but I know a lot of spoonies who swear by it.

I read this wrong at first, confused trying to find out what a "lemon jump" is 😅😂 Lemon sounds much easier and more accessible 🙈 Thank you!

I like the app Tapping Solution, based on a book by the same name. It has dozens of practices and gives you options for different meditation types with tapping, like "turn your day around" and "support your health" and "micro-boosts." There is a subscription fee for this app. There are probably others for free. 🤗

Thank you! I could definitely be better about hydration... I have a 64 oz. growler i keep full of water but tend to forget about 😅 And I struggle with eating (food-related phobias and going into "food coma" almost every time i eat doesn't help)...so that's also a work-in-progress. I wouldn't have thought of the tapping meditation! I think i'll try that today!

Oy vey, valid question. This is a tough one for me too. I've found I HAVE to stay hydrated because dehydration makes me drowsy (and once I'm drowsy it's all over); I have a 32-ounce water cup I refill six to eight times a day. I also tend to eat small snacks or meals regularly throughout the day with protein each time because a consistent protein level helps me. I uncover the windows because sunshine and natural light help me. I limit my time on screens as much as possible and use blue-light-filtering glasses if I can't avoid (or just reeeally want to browse my phone for a while) a screen. Sometimes a tapping meditation helps me get refocused and more "awake" for longer.
