Depending on the substance/effects you are trying to get clean from I found that cannabis helped a lot when I had a near disastrous run in with diazepam abuse

I should also add it REALLY helps me through those times when I find myself craving some Valium. Helps distract the mind and relax the body. I also understand that some people may not want to use cannabis if they are trying to get 100% clean of all drugs and meds completely

I've been clean from opiates going on 2 years, the biggest thing for me is making sure my mental health is in order, also making sure I keep my sessions with both of my counselors. People, places and things are also a good thing to avoid if there's certain people places or things that trigger you.

personally the thing that helps me not relapse the most is imagining what my life would be like if i went back to addiction, and everything in my life now that would be lost if i relapsed. hope this helps you ! xx
