Thyroid Removal: Has Anyone Else Experienced This?

Just recently found out my thyroid is extremely enlarged and there is a cyst or something on it. could be cancer or could be nothing. but I have to get my thyroid removed. Anyone else go through this?

      I have a cyst on my thyroid, on the left side, I still have to go in to have a scan done to see if it has grown in the last six months, it was .08 millimeters. If it has grown then I'll have to have a biopsy done to see if it's cancerous or benign. If it is cancerous then I'll have to have it removed, thyroid and all.

        @Dee99 does it make it hard to swallow? I get choked up when I eat which my doctor doesn't like

          @Tyee sometimes it does, it feels like something is in my throat stuck, and no matter how much I throw up, or clear my throat, it won't go away. Does the same happen to you?

      ASK THEM TO RECORD IT IF THEY CAN THAT'D BE GROSS BUT THE WEIRD GOOD KIND OF GROSS

        @BlueCreature No cysts are not Cancerous. I have several. Tumors are a different story. They can go either way. I had a White Andenoma in my breast while pregnant. If it was malignant they said I wouldn't live to give birth. Had it removed. It wasn't Malignant....I had a miscarriage . My Gyn. Had misdiagnosed me. Said it was only a Cyst...I lost my baby for nothing. Get a second opinion to be sure it's a Cyst. Cysts do not become Cancerous ...double check though...but this has been my experience.

      🙏 for You Sincerely. Keep you're Faith in God. HE will see you throughout all of this. Try to think positively. This is easy to say I know. I wish I could think positively about my own Anxiety and depression issues... That's not to say you can't do it. 😥🙏
