Feeling Drained: Normal Thyroid Levels but No Energy

I'm always told my thyroid levels are normal, but I can't help but feel like something isn't right with being completely drained of energy 24/7. Any suggestions?

@ Catlord, yes! I’ve heard this as well. Your normal range may not be the standard normal range for the rest of the population. It’s hard to find your normal however, it’s something that comes with lots of labs unfortunately.

I have the same issue. I just learn to deal with it. No one seems to help. If anyone has any tips I'd love to know too

Honestly this is by far the worst part of having thyroid disease for me personally. I was diagnosed when I was 15, it's been ten years and I have had normal levels for almost the entire time. I have been so exhausted for years. I've heard from other people that finding a doctor that treats based on symptoms in addition to considering your thyroid hormone levels have been helpful. Haven't had luck yet but maybe you will if you can find a new doctor!

I had this issue until I found a very good doctor who decided to take the next step. What’s the worst that could happen? We might find something which will lead us to something else. This is how my cancer was found. I had to them take a serious look at how and what I ate along with my life style. After my third child I could not lose weight for over a year. I decided to give Optavia a try and within the first week I had my energy back!! I began to loose weight about 3 lbs a week. Now that I’m coming upon my year and moving into maintenance I’ve been able to keep 40 pounds off and now my medication has been stable as have my labs. Be your best advocate. Stand up for yourself and keep pushing for your answers.
