Every medication is different for everyone. you won't know until you try. something might work for you but not for someone else. 🖤

Prozac made me so depressed, it put me in the hospital. Do not recommend :(

Prozac gave me awful mouth sores within a few days of starting it, before I even had a chance to feel any mental/emotional effects. Fairly mild side effect, but it was really uncomfortable. I figured I'd mention it because I wish I'd known to look out for it so I could have stopped it sooner, rather than thinking the sores were something unrelated and putting up with it for a week!

I have severe ptsd gad panic attacks…. Dr wanted to give me Zoloft but I’ve heard so many people complain about it I asked for Prozac. I was in Prozac in my teens and don’t remember any terrible side affects.

I've been on Prozac long term, for at least 6 years now. I've had zero problems from the medication. I tried several different antidepressants before finding prozac. Now it did take between 10-14 days to feel the full effects but it's a great medication with little to no side effects!

I’ve been on Prozac for a year with great success. I started at 20mg. My doctor increased the dose to 40mg after a few months. Prozac has been one of the best antidepressants for me. I found Prozac to be more helpful for my wide spectrum of concerns than Lexapro or Zoloft. The FDA has approved Prozac to treat anxiety, depression (even depression as part of bipolar), PTSD, OCD, and PMDD.
