Hi everyone. First post here. I’m curious if anyone has found a good therapist that actually understands chronic illness? I’ve been to several therapists and they just don’t get it. Sure the techniques may work for some but not with chronic illness and the changes day by day or hour by hour. I’ve had some who were more interested in my conditions and was even asked how I deal with them. I wanted to scream I don’t that’s what your help is for! I’m frustrated and so beyond in a bad place mentally. Anyway sorry for a long post. I’m in AZ. But video or phone is preferred if anyone has recommendations. Thanks so much

You might try finding a coach or support group through the MS society or similar org. My husband and I both have MS. We attend webinars & support groups connected to our treatment center. That has really helped us get out and meet others with the same condition. We’ve even done some adaptive sports with our support group.

I went through more than 3 therapists until I found what that suited me. Don’t feel bad about switching therapists if you feel he/she is not for you.
