Anxiety (Including GAD)

Leaving and beginning new experiences is hard so give yourself credit. It's unfamiliar and you have no idea what's going to happen and it's hard not to think of these decisions and their outcomes as black and white, as if this step is bound to be either a great experience or a terrible one just because it's a momentous and challenging situation. It's important to keep in mind that it's not, not at all, it's a transient experience always shifting like a fluid. You will have bad days and bad experiences because it's a part of life but you will also do your best to get through them, and that is enough you do not need to navigate through these things perfectly, you will learn from them and grow from them and if you ever feel like the choice you made isn't right for you, you can figure out a new plan because this choice also isn't set in stone. There will also be great things and valuable things you learn in a positive way, whether this experience is right for you or not. You are ultimately in control and you will be okay. As a side note I would highly suggest during this large transitional period trying to implement any coping routines for your anxiety that you want to try but haven't been able to stick to like meditation or or other self care routines, this is a break in any routine you had before and gives you a chance to implement them while your brain is adjusting still. Not only might it help you manage your stress about the situation now it might also stick better and help in the long run.
