My therapist has recommended me various types of breathing exercises and grounding techniques (dm me i’ll find the specifics for you) and they do help a lot. I don’t want to be that person but food, although I do realize it may not be as healthy as other coping mechanisms but even if it’s a little pie or maybe fruit it helps calm me and bring me down to the point where I can then introduce other practices. Also coloring and some music is super relaxing and distracting. Lastly for me I’m a big sensory person so I enjoy things like slime and putty or even literal stress toys. I hope this helps!

Sometimes, the only cure is distraction. But talk therapy is also really helpful for me in reframing the way I think about things. Also, I looove my sensory swing! I'm in it nearly every day, especially at night before bed, to help my body calm down and relax.

I try to ground myself as much as I can with an object I like (like a stress toy, fidget, pillow, movie, etc,.). I focus on something random or space out to think of a comforting imaginative scenario which usually eases some things I hope this helps! ❤️
