Seeking Advice: Talking to a Doctor about Autism Suspicions

Which Doctor do you talk to if you suspect you’re autistic? I tried to bring it up to my psychiatrist but she kinda brushed it off. I’m diagnosed with Bipolar 2, PTSD, and GAD and I’ve heard some of the symptoms overlap.

My daughter has the same diagnosis and has concerns that she may also be autistic. Her psychiatrist is trying to get her set up for a neuro-psych evaluation to investigate this further. You may want to bring that up.😁

I was diagnosed by a clinical psychologist, so that's probably what I would recommend! They are different to psychiatrists :)
