Taking Prozac and Buspirone Together: Is it Safe?

Is anyone taking prozac and buspirone together? Currently I am prescribed 10 mg of prozac and then I take buspirone 10 mg 3 times a day. My doctor said that I can take prozac and buspirone together but the research I found says that you shouldn't.

I do as well! It has not hurt anything so far by doing so.

I take buspar with multiple other medications. Sometimes a doctor will still have you take two medications that have can have negative interactions together because the pros out way the cons or so to say the risk is worth the reward. Most of my medications show that they can interact but I’ve never experienced anything worse than extra drowsiness.
