Have any of my bipolar pals taken Lexapro? I started it a week ago and feel better already, but naturally I'm worried it'll cause hypomania. My doctor told me that since I'm taking Lamictal and Seroquel, those should suppress any manic effects. Also, do yall take it at night or in the morning?

i take lexapro for my bipolar II and it has been a life saver! i used to take it in the morning (when i had a daily routine) but the past few years i’ve been waking up at different times of the day so now i take it at night and it works just the same :)

I took it on two different occasions and both were the same, an instant mania that lasted for a day or two followed by a week or two of a mixed state but mostly depression. It was rough for me. I took mine in the morning.

I took Lexapro for a couple of years but recently switched to effexor. I never noticed any negative side effects from the Lexapro and I take a my meds at bedtime.
