Need advice on taking Depakote for bipolar disorder
I've been on like 10 different antidepressants and now my psychiatrist(new by the way) want me on depakote for unspecified bipolar disorder. has anyone ever taken this and it helped. I'm real scared to take it due to I have panic disorder as well and the last antidepressant I took made me scared of new meds because I had bad panic attack.

I have a nice combo of anxiety disorders that lead so some intense mood swings. I was originally put on Depakote for migraines and I was terrified. Getting used to the medication was not super great but once you’re on it consistently. Wow. Life changer. Did not think I would appreciate this medication so much.

im currently on depakote and it seemed to mess with my bipolar 2. in all honesty im planning on asking my doctor for a mes change, hopefully it’ll work for you <3 take care
