Diagnosed with Systemic Lupus, Need Advice

Hello I was diagnosed with Systemic Lupus on Tuesday. I’m still trying to wrap my head around it all. Also my Rheumatologist said this was caused by a medication i took more then likely but i do not take any meds at all. Just have taken antibiotics, allergy meds for years. She still called it Systemic Lupus. Also my platelet count was elevated to 428.

Most of the times the doctors is trying to figure out what's going on themselves. It is so many different and stagess of so many immune diseases that are so similar and sometimes more then one copy cat. I guess that's the right word I am trying to explain. They say there are induced medical lupus and everyone systems and affects us differently. Hope everything turns out well. But let us know how your doing. Lupus sle since 1989.

thank you so much. Yes apparently some medicine can cause a lupus type response. My Rheumatologist said by my levels and other Lupus markers being negative she is saying it’s systemic lupus.
