Looking for experiences with sympathectomy for hyperhidrosis

Hello. I'm new here but am excited to learn about others'experiences and knowledge sharing with similar conditions. I have had issues with sweating to my hands, underarms and feet for years. sweating to my hands and feed started in my childhood. I have tried different treatments with exception to Botox and I'm currently looking into doing a sympathectomy. Has anyone done this procedure yet? what was/ is your experience?

thank you for your response 😊. I'm sorry to hear that this has happened to you. I had to stop taking Robinul. It surely made my eczema worse and I had cotton mouth too. But worse of all I experienced urinary retention even with a lower dose of 2 mg. (1 mg did nothing for me). Do you mind me asking, when did your sweating start for you and did they clip your nerve or clamp it for the ETS procedure?

Hi! I recently wrote a Reddit post about this on r/hyperhidrosis, where I received ETS in 2014 and had resurfacing of sweat and worsening of the condition in 2020. I would never recommend it as the solution. Sure, there was a gap of bliss but ultimately it made my condition worse. The soaking night sweats and constant laundry now are the worst worse of it. I recommend looking into meditation, it's my first go to to help with the physiological background of this. Second, I take 1mg of robinul daily to curb the sweat. It causes server dryness on the flip side lol, so yeah, I'm trying to self prescribe meditation now. Best of luck!
