Swollen feet after work, is it normal?

I started working a month ago after being unemployed for over a year. My feet and ankles have been swelling up like crazy and my feet hurt like hell by the end of a 9+ hour shift. Compression stockings only keep the swelling trapped under the socks and makes it much worse. I'm not sure if this is a fixable issue or not, or something that is just normal.

Hey ✋ Try compression sleeves and or leggings (medical). If not there is surgery but make shor u do resurch adout the (option as some of the side effect can be horrible.) Try ice. It amazing And stretching and or lying flat on the floor. Hope this may help X

I have swelling and redness in my feet and legs. I tested negative for venous insufficiency and dvt. I went to an infectious disease doctor and he did a test that showed that I have an infection caused by two types of bacteria. The first one is stenotrothomonas maltophilia and the second one is acinetobacter. I’m on IV antibiotics now for 14 days. I also have to take an oral antibiotic. You just have to find the right doctor.

Can you try a harder level compression? If not there is surgery
