would it be smart to switch to a specialized psychologist rather than continuing treatment with a general psychologist?

I go to a program specifically for my psychosis and I find it beneficial to have medical professionals who specialize in my disorder. It really depends on your personal prefrence.
Having a psychologist who specializes in what you’re going through will always be better than a general psychologist. Though, if you are making progress, then I see no reason to switch, as long as you’re comfortable with him/her.
